Load requirements
The appliances you expect to operate determine continuous power, surge requirements, and expected energy use.
Utah RV power services
Bring 120-volt power off-grid with an inverter system designed for the loads behind it.
Utah RV Power installs inverter and inverter/charger systems for RV owners who want to operate selected 120-volt loads away from shore power. The inverter is sized together with the battery bank, BMS, cabling, protection, and charging system.
Every RV and installation is different. Final equipment selection, scope, and pricing depend on the RV, existing electrical system, component compatibility, battery location, access, cable routing, and the goals for the finished system.
System design
The appliances you expect to operate determine continuous power, surge requirements, and expected energy use.
At 12 volts, high-power inverters can require very high DC current. The battery bank and BMS must be capable of supporting it.
Short, properly sized conductors, secure terminations, disconnecting means, and correctly selected overcurrent protection matter at high current.
How inverter power is distributed depends on the RV and project. The design should prevent unsafe or unintended interaction with other power sources.
Typical projects
High-demand appliances can be possible with the right system, but inverter wattage alone does not determine runtime. Battery energy, BMS output, appliance demand, temperature, other loads, and recharge capability all matter.
